At the end of May 2017, Mr. Sammi opened up in the ECI factory in Roermond. It is a new restaurant by chef Michel Schlicher and Ankie Janssens. Guests can enjoy classic French dishes in this industrial ambience. The Electro Chemical Industry (ECI) factory was designed as a “culture factory” by the city of Roermond. So, besides a stage, theatre, and movie halls, it now also has a food concept.
Together with the city of Roermond, De Horeca Fabriek created the cosmopolitan ambience that Mr. Sammi wants to give off.

“A mix of materials that breathe industrial, brass, marble, banana leaf wallpaper, steel, and leather combined with velvet chairs, bistro chairs, and warm lights create a warm, intimate, and, at the same time, exuberant ambience of the large (550m2) space. They had the guts to invest. Mr. Sammi goes against the current and has great style.”
