Objective: After starting in The Hague, MaMa Kelly shows herself from a different side in Amsterdam. The menu has the well-known quality of the restaurant in The Hague, the new pink interior, however, is a statement. MaMa’s looks are provocative and avant-garde. New look, but same amazing vibe as MaMa Kelly, The Hague. All pink interior? Rein was called crazy when suggesting the idea, but he went with it anyway. The result? An amazing, fully pink 1000m2 surface!
MaMa Kelly Amsterdam has a classy design, with charm, and some glamour. The charm comes from the custom designed details in the interior: the carousel-bar, coffee-bar, bannisters, lighting, fabric-walls, brass houses, the secret bar, and even the toilets were custom made. Every detail compliments the exciting interior. Furthermore, every floor has its own unique style. Expect the unexpected.

Concept: Pretty Fancy Food / eclectically fashionable
Miss Jones is designed as one of those typical venues that cannot be defined easily. The new restaurant, developed by designer Rein Rambaldo, thus reflects his signature style and can perhaps best be described as 'eclectically fashionable'.
The starting point of the concept is a hangout with different spaces that seamlessly flow from one to another, so that there is always something new to discover. The same applies to the menu, which consists of countless, gracefully presented dishes from all over the world. In short: pretty fancy food.
With Miss Jones as a new showroom, De Horeca Fabriek wants to demonstrate that a 2022-worthy concept does not have to be tied to one movement, style or generic culture. In this case, Miss Jones' DNA is defined by an extravagant, fictional character's journey around the world, that is presented at the table.

Concept: High-end sneaker store
Objective: Hyped about sneakers? So are we.
That's why we didn't hesitate for a second when we were asked to design the most exclusive sneaker store imaginable. Amsterdam-based HYP3 had to become the new meeting place for collectors and sneaker geeks. And besides the name and the entrepreneurs' enthusiasm, we got carte blanche!
The sneakers, that vary in all shapes and colors, are the main protagonists of the concept. That's why the color palette has remained modest; the emphasis is in the manner of presentation. This led to a candy store-like display with cloches and lots of brass for the neccessary drama.
HYP3 has become much more than a sneaker store. It is an influential homebase for like-minded sneaker lovers that showcases what the newest hype will be.
"Don't count your sneakers, make you sneakers count."

IJssalon De Hoop is een allesbehalve doorsnee ijswinkel. De vraagstelling? Een interieur dat de kwaliteit uitstraalt die, SVH Meester IJsbereider, Caroline Kooij aan haar ambachtelijk bereide ijs weet te geven. ‘De Hoop’, ooit begonnen in 1906, draait sindsdien al 4 generaties lang en is hiermee een iconisch begrip in Blaricum en wijde omgeving geworden. Na meerdere keren de titel ‘IJssalon van het Jaar’ binnen te hebben gesleept, heeft De Horeca Fabriek de eervolle opdracht gekregen om een de salon te voorzien van een nieuw interieur: een kroon op het werk van 4 generaties.
Het interieur is een samenstelling van ijssmaken, waaronder pistache en aardbei. Afgemaakt met een maatwerk terrazzovloer en notenhouten lambrisering is een subtiele vertaling gemaakt van de Italiaanse ambacht en originele herkomst van het product. De centraal gepositioneerde counter is ontworpen als een ijspodium, die Caroline Kooij en het werk van de familiegeneraties op een voetstuk plaatsen.

Het ontwerpen van een waardige thuisbasis voor het gelijknamige biermerk ‘Graansilo’, heeft geleid tot een ontwerp dat op verschillende manieren een de eigenschappen van een glas bier weergeeft.
Zo vertaalt de vloer het vloeien van het bier, en zijn de kolommen geïnspireerd op het bruisen van een koud glas bier dat vers uit de tap komt. Het kleurenpallet is eenvoudig en heeft een Groningse nuchterheid over zich heen.
Het monumentale pand waarin Graansilo zich bevindt, diende vroeger als opslagplaats voor graan. De plafondconstructie en de kranen die hieraan bevestigd zijn, zijn daarom niet alleen intact gelaten, maar ook nog eens extra aangedikt met een messing afwerking.
Graansilo hanteert geen vaste menukaart, maar je krijgt al borrelend kleine gerechten op tafel geserveerd. Van proeverij tot biercocktails: bij Graansilo is alles tot in de puntjes afgestemd op het hernieuwd beleven van bier. Als extra ‘hiddem gem’ zit achter de dikke wanden van het souterrain De Bierkluis verstopt. Dé venue van Groningen voor een besloten borrel.

Concept: Mediterranean seafood specialities
Objective: Creating a new concept in the famous Meddens Fashion House building. Meddens Fashion House has been well-known in Hilversum since it was located in the unique building on the corner of the Kerkplein in 1830. Now, the beautiful building in the centre of Hilversum needed to be turned in to a restaurant.
The concept had to be a striking statement, approachable, and have a casual ambience. A concept that embraces a timeless all-day idea that is full of colour and warmth.
On entering, you are welcomed by a world of colour. Green, yellow, and blue form the foundation for the interior and rich materials with graphic patterns are stylishly combined. Hilversum has gained an amazing place to relax and enjoy everything Meddens has to offer.

Concept: GOLD. Rotterdam Chic.
Rely on your own strength, don’t compromise, be original, and be modern. These are the four core values of GOUD (gold) that summarise Herman den Blijker and his associate Nick de Kousemaeker’s brand new restaurant in Rotterdam. De Horecafabriek, in close collaboration with Herman himself, took care of the interior, corporate identity, and branding of GOUD.
The result? A representation of Herman den Blijker’s numerous ideas and an amazing combination of about 300 years of experience in the catering industry. The main emphasis in the interior is on gold, brass, and green velvet, which perfectly fit in with the Rotterdam-chic look of the restaurant.

Objective: MaMa Kelly had to astound people. We were off to a good start with an industrial building in a remote location. However, De Horeca Fabriek also wanted to do something special with the interior. The overall-layout, for example, shows that the kitchen and brasserie are on one side, the restaurant on the other, and right in between is the bar. MaMa Kelly is rugged yet stylish. Because the dishes are mostly prepared with fresh products, the interior is filled with natural elements and materials to create a connection. The interior makes clever use of materials such as leather, wood, steel, and copper. No fakes, all natural.

Concept: High-end steakhouse
De opdracht: Voor menig vleesliefhebber is Midtown Grill Amsterdam geen onbekende naam. Van over de hele wereld vliegt het restaurant de beste stukken vlees in, om ze vervolgens perfect mals en hoog op smaak aan haar gasten uit te serveren. Midtown Grill, onderdeel van Marriott Hotel Amsterdam, vroeg De Horeca Fabriek om deze kwaliteit en expertise te vertalen naar een nieuw interieurontwerp. Het uiteindelijke resultaat is een gebalanceerde compromis tussen ‘smaakvol stoer’ en chique, uitgevoerd in een Amerikaans jasje.
Daarnaast werd de vrijheid gegeven om versterkende elementen toe te mogen voegen aan het concept. Deze zijn terug te vinden in de vorm van onder andere een Wine Library en Meat Experience Room, waarin de chef de gast meeneemt in de bereiding van zijn gerechten. Nieuwsgierig? Het eindresultaat houden we nog even voor ons; die kan je het best zelf beleven bij Midtown Grill.

Objective: In 2014, De Horecafabriek completed a design for Hotel & Brasserie Katoen in Goes that four years later receives critical acclaim as a hotel and restaurant. Due to the high amount of requests for private dinners, meetings, and/or parties, Katoen entrepreneurs Ron and Vivian Diephout returned to De Horeca Fabriek for a concept of expanding the hotel and restaurant.
De Horeaca Fabriek was asked to think of a concept for a new room that would put Katoen on the map as the place to go in Goes. The goal was to make a unique and innovative concept, with the bar as the main eye-catcher that also fits in with the existing brand experience.
ZAAL is the captivating result of our ideas. ZAAL (Dutch for hall) has a spacious and refreshing feel, due to its large windows. The interior is filled with warm colours and materials, such as wood and brass. This combination gives it a luxurious, but still approachable feel. The interior design consists of a colour-mix of dark-green, black, and white which is combined with graphic, as well as, geometric shapes. Just have a look at the floors and walls or the bar awning, and accessories that contain beautiful brass detailing. Furthermore, the furniture with soft fabrics, such as velours, can easily be moved around to create a hall that lives up to a guest’s wishes and demands.

At the end of May 2017, Mr. Sammi opened up in the ECI factory in Roermond. It is a new restaurant by chef Michel Schlicher and Ankie Janssens. Guests can enjoy classic French dishes in this industrial ambience. The Electro Chemical Industry (ECI) factory was designed as a “culture factory” by the city of Roermond. So, besides a stage, theatre, and movie halls, it now also has a food concept.
Together with the city of Roermond, De Horeca Fabriek created the cosmopolitan ambience that Mr. Sammi wants to give off.

“A mix of materials that breathe industrial, brass, marble, banana leaf wallpaper, steel, and leather combined with velvet chairs, bistro chairs, and warm lights create a warm, intimate, and, at the same time, exuberant ambience of the large (550m2) space. They had the guts to invest. Mr. Sammi goes against the current and has great style.”

De opdracht: Giorgio Rosa is een eigentijds Italiaans concept, geïnspireerd door de rijke cultuur van eten en drinken uit Italië. Wij zijn geen traditioneel Italiaans restaurant, maar brengen een moderne interpretatie van de Italiaanse gastvrijheid en smaakbeleving.
Het interieur is tijdloos ontworpen met oog voor detail en gebruik van hoogwaardige materialen. De sfeer straalt rust en elegantie uit, zodat een bezoek aan Giorgio Rosa niet alleen nu, maar ook over tien jaar nog steeds een bijzondere ervaring is.
